From personal passion to precious memories
As a mum, I started photography simply because I loved capturing my own children’s every little moment—the tiny details, the everyday smiles, the messy and beautiful in-between stages that go by so quickly. I realised how fast those moments change, and I wanted to hold onto them forever.
Over time, that personal passion grew into something bigger. I began to see how meaningful it is for other families too—how a single photo can bring back a whole memory or feeling. That’s what inspired me to become a newborn and family photographer.
Now, I love creating that same experience for other parents—freezing those once-in-a-lifetime moments in a natural, honest way so families can look back and truly feel their story again.
Making your family feel comfortable and special
I make families feel comfortable by keeping the whole session relaxed, simple, and natural—nothing rushed or overly posed. I always take time to chat first, understand the family, and let children settle in their own way so they feel safe and at ease.
Creating a home-like environment is really important, especially for newborn and family sessions. Whether the shoot is at home or outdoors, I focus on keeping things calm and familiar so families can just be themselves without pressure.
I also deeply respect each family’s cultural values and traditions, and I love when these are gently included in the session—whether it’s clothing, rituals, or simple family customs. It makes the experience more personal and meaningful.
Capturing genuine smiles and natural moments
What's most important to me when capturing those precious family moments is the natural smiles, the laughter, and those little in-between moments that can’t be planned. I want families to genuinely enjoy the experience, not feel like they’re performing for the camera.
When everyone is relaxed and having fun, the most beautiful and honest expressions come out naturally. Those happy, unposed moments are what I focus on the most, because they truly reflect the love and bond within the family.
A mum's perspective behind the lens
One thing clients often find special is that I’m a mum myself, so I truly understand how quickly kids grow and how meaningful these moments are. I’m very patient and go with the flow—whether that means taking breaks, calming a newborn, or letting kids just be playful and free.
I also genuinely enjoy getting to know each family, their story, and their cultural background. I love including those little personal touches that make your photos feel unique to you.
For me, it’s not just about taking pictures—it’s about creating a comfortable, home-like experience where families can relax, be themselves, and actually enjoy the moment while I capture it naturally.
